But I promise you, if you take one step at a time and realize this is the time you really should just do what’s best for you, you’ll instantly better your mood and bounce back to you again. I get that there are days when our mood gets the best of us and that’s normal. What’s not normal however, is when you dwell on these thoughts that affect your actions in the long run. So without further ado, here are 5 Ways to Instantly Better Your Mood. Hope you feel better soon – xo
1. Get Out Of Bed
Okay so I know it can be really hard to get out of bed some days, especially when you’re not feeling your best. The problem with just laying there is that, you start thinking more. There are better, more constructive ways to deal with your down times than just staying in bed and sulking over them. To avoid things from getting worse, wake up, take a shower and put yourself together even if you may not feel like it, you’ll feel more productive and build a little momentum to starting your day better.
2. Do Something you Find Therapeutic
This can be absolutely anything that makes you feel better and lifts up your mood. Whether its taking a shower or just spending some time doing your makeup, do it. When you do something you enjoy that makes you feel better its known to be therapeutic. You could even start drawing if you’re feeling down or read an uplifting book. Whatever you choose to do, just make sure its something you enjoy doing.
3. Take A Walk & Clear Your Mind
This is one of the best ways to just leave all of the anxiety behind. Go for a walk, it doesn’t have to be too long, but long enough for you to clear your mind and feel at ease again. You’ll be surprised be how inspired you’ll feel once your done, especially if you’re on the creative side. Its always a good way to instantly boost your mood by simply having appreciation for what’s around you. Don’t forget to breathe!
4. Write it Down
Our emotions can be so confusing sometimes. Its best to just write things down sometimes and ask yourself why you’re feeling this way and what are the possible solutions to getting over this feeling. Write down how you feel in journal or a piece of paper if you’re not that into journaling. Try to write things down in a systematic order to understand things better. Once you’ve written things out, you’ll feel so much better. This is always why a lot of people do ‘morning pages’.
5. Tidy up your Space
If you’re feeling down, the space around you is probably cluttered, which is a reflection of your mind. Its best to tidy up and do it with the intention of cleaning out your mind in the process. This is probably the one things that really works for me. Empty out things that are bring you down, like old memories you want to forget, clear out those things you haven’t even looked at in months because you’ll most likely not even need them later on anyways. A clear space will always help you feel better. Don’t try dumping things away this will only make you feel more clustered.
I hope these tips help you feel a ton better and you’ve gained some inspiration and motivation to move forward – Happy Motivational Monday!
