I didn’t realise that there were many other effective ways to gain traffic. In fact, I didn’t even know that I could still get tons of traffic without blogging all-the-time!

We tend to focus so much on the content we’re creating that we forget to let people know our blog exists. There are tons of people out there on the internet and you’re always gonna have an audience, you just have to let them know where to find you! This is where the biggest blogging success secret comes in. Your marketing strategy! Now I know some of you are probably thinking, “well duh, I always advertise my blog on social media.” However, that’s not the only strategy there is.

1. Quality Over Quantity

Usually when I here someone say they did 15 blog posts in a day, I always think that there’s a big chance it lacks in quality. The one thing I always notice people do when they start out in blogging, is to try and full their blogs up to make it look busy. This is not how you attract readers to your blog or more importantly, how you convince them to stay. I understand for someone new to blogging, you want to fill up your blog as quick as possible, to make it look more established. However, this is only going to cause a lack of depth and value in what you have to offer your readers.

Think about it, there are tons of blogs out there. Not only does your blog need to be found by your readers, it needs to stand out too. The only surefire way to do that, is through your blog posts. When someone googles something related to what you’ve written in a post, it needs to be filled with depth and value when they click on it. You have to always make sure to over-deliver. The only way you ensure that is by getting detailed, explaining and giving your reader a step-by-step analysis of whatever it is they’re interested in reading. Your reader will love this because they’re receiving value, not just a quick pointless read!

2. Stop Being Afraid To Invest In Yourself

If you want to take your blog to new heights, you have to be willing to invest in it. Whether that’s through purchasing a blog domain, paying for a blogging course, putting more hours into your blog or even simply learning new strategies. It all counts! Successful bloggers are always willing to do and try anything that will help them learn how to further grow their blog. This is where they just don’t hold back.

For instance, it took me a long time to invest in my blog domain and purchase a design, but when I did, my blog grew! This happened again, when I would see blogging courses that claimed to help give my blog tons of views and so on. It took me a long time to invest but when I did, it ended up bringing me almost instant results. My point is stop being afraid to invest in yourself. I realised that the best strategies that I’ve learnt or things I’ve gotten done to take my blog to the next level, were the things that cost me, but they were actually worth it. I now have my own online business that I own. If that isn’t worth investing in, I don’t know what is!

3. SEO and Keyword Research

For a long time, I couldn’t really grasp the concept of SEO. I would google endlessly but never really find anything concrete enough to explain the meaning of SEO or how to implement it into my blog. However, I was pretty determined to get the results others were getting through SEO! This lead me to doing my own research and coming across the SEO for Bloggers course by Nele.

After implementing these SEO strategies in just one blog post, that blog post alone had brought me over 150-250 blog views per day! Keep in mind that this was just one blog post, and one of the many strategies I learnt from this course. Once I learnt how to make my blog rank on google’s first page, find highly searched keywords, optimize my blog pages and posts for SEO, I felt like I had finally figured out one of the biggest blogging success secrets! The best thing about SEO is that your results stay pretty consistent, even if you stop blogging for while. This course literally taught me how to save time and money too. I highly recommend her Keyword Research Course too!

4. PinTerest Marketing

One of the most sworn-by blogging success secrets has to be PinTerest! Many people seem to have different opinions on this one, but as far as I’m concerned, every successful blogger I know of, along with myself, LOVES-IT! PinTerest has probably increased my readership more than any other strategy I’ve tried. I notice people who don’t usually agree with PinTerest marketing are the ones that simply just don’t know how to market their blogs on it. They often go into it without any guidance or strategy, end up failing at their attempts and then give up really quickly!

You see, PinTerest is a visual search engine, almost like Google. When your images rank on PinTerest and someone clicks on you ‘Pin,’ they end up coming directly to your website. This way people are able to see instantly what you have to offer. It’s great not only for advertising blog posts but your products and services too. This is why it’s one of the most effective blogging success secrets.

If you’d like to learn how to grow you PinTerest account and gain tons of readers to your blog, I highly recommend checking out Ell Duclose’s, PinTerest Growth course!

5. Consistency

I cannot emphasize this enough. You have to be consistent with your blogging and marketing strategies in order for them to be effective. When you create consistency, you create reliability in the eyes of your readers and the systems that help elevate your blog, like search engines, advertisers and so on. Consistency helps you to build your blogging platform. When people see that you have a stable platform, they trust you and therefore, when you’re ready to make money blogging, they will want to support you too!

Look, I could sit here all day, telling you about all the amazing blogging success secrets out there, but if you aren’t gonna show up for yourself and take blogging seriously then nothing will be as effective. Again, you have to be patient and not quit on yourself. We all have different success rates but sooner or later you WILL get there if you keep on persevering.

6. Create A Blog Strategy

In saying the above, if you’re working really hard, day in and day out without any strategic direction, you’re probably gonna feel really defeated, get burnt out and quit blogging. Look, there’s no overnight success secret to blogging, but there is a difference between working hard and working smart. One of the biggest time wasters is not having a blogging and marketing strategy.

What I’m saying is, if you want to be successful at blogging, you need to implement an effective strategy of ‘how’ to actually get from point A to point B. It’s not effective enough to say, “I want to earn $5000 per month from my blogging courses.” You have to know the ‘how.’ Where will you start? By first designing them? What banking details and payment outlets will you need to put in place for people to purchase? How many courses will your viewership allow you to sell? How will you increase your viewership to match the sales you want to make? Do you see my point here? This-is-a-strategy, not a schedule where you say you’re going to make x amount of blog posts in a week!

7. Constantly Learning

Blogging strategies change all the time! These all influence the way you blog and what your readers are looking for from you. You have to constantly be engaging with these updates so that you can implement changes. This will help make your strategies more and more effective as you go along.

The most successful bloggers out there know that you have to be constantly learning in order to grow and improve. That’s why it’s best, when starting out, to learn from those who are already where you want to be. Even though it may not look like it, these people have been through what you’re going through right now. They know where they’re going and how to get there. They’ve tried everything and can help give you direction and strategies that actually work! The more you keep learning, failing, getting back up again and growing, the faster you’ll start learning your own blogging success secrets and know the best ways to implement what works for you!
