How to Let Go of Failures and Setbacks

Okay so 2018 didn’t exactly turn out to be the way you thought it would. Life isn’t meant to be a breeze unfortunately and there will always be high’s and low’s. Does that mean you should just wait until next year to get things perfect? HELL NO. You need to learn to master your mindset and the art of how to let go of failures and setbacks. The best part about this is that its possible and you can learn exactly how to do it.

 

We all go through hard times whether it may be mentally, financially, emotionally or physically but that doesn’t mean you should stay stuck in these situations. Think about how much better your life would be if you just chose to take things as they come, not let it get the best of you and let go when its time to. Much easier right? Then why don’t we do it? Maybe your too comfortable and find it easier to hold onto an excuse. Your mind knows that once you choose to actually get up and do something about a situation, its gonna not just take some hard-work, but also move you out of your comfort zone. Here’s how to let go of failures and setbacks that have been holding you down for too long.

  • You’ve Only got 6 Months 

Rewire your mind and think of July as your second chance to starting the year over. You’ve got 6 months to reset and achieve your goals. This is a sufficient amount of time to do anything and everything you’ve wanted to since the beginning of this year and haven’t got to doing. This is the perfect time to start over no matter where you’ve fallen off. Start getting rid of distractions (for real this time), its not worth it to let another year go by, having done nothing to get one step closer to your dreams. Invest your time in yourself and your goals from now until December and don’t ever think you’ve got to stop there!

  • Focus on What You Can Control

One of the best ways to overcome failures and setbacks is by writing down a list of what you can control in your life. Sometimes situations are out of our hands and we can’t do anything about it but we can control how we respond to these outcomes. Notice how you can control how you feel towards negative people or bad days. Think about how you have time in the mornings that you have full control over to utilize it how you’d like. Notice the little things in your day that you can control whenever someone or something gets you down. Always remember you are in control of the way you respond to a situation, the outcome is all determined on you, good or bad. The choice is yours.

  • Get Uncomfortable

Here’s a bit of psychology for you. The reasons you feel stuck in a situation is because you choose not to move forward. Pushing yourself to think positively, wake up earlier or actually sit down and get the work done until 3am  is always gonna be the harder choice. It may sound great to do all these productive things but, it is the harder choice. Your mind doesn’t want hard. Your mind wants easy and that is why you are stuck where you currently are. Its your choice to wake up and get out of your comfort zone.

  • Your Mind is Your Bitch – Control it

Its mind over matter. You are in control of your mind and all your capabilities. Your mind does not control you, you control your mind. Yes, you may be busy all day long, working a full-time job or studying but, if you want something bad enough you will force yourself to work around any situation to get closer to it each day. There is absolutely no excuse to not reach your goals, no limitations and no one to tell you that you can’t do it, except yourself. Once you learn how to control your mindset and master it, you will be unstoppable in succeeding at life.

 

Wow! That was a lot to take in but don’t sell yourself short there. Remember, your failures and setbacks do NOT determine the person you are today. Keep on pushing yourself to be your best. We’ve got six months left so let’s make the most of it and hit rewind.
